Jamaican choco-banana mousse

The festive season is a great time to indulge in festive goodies. If you are calorie conscious, try this dessert with natural sweeteners. While you cannot avoid sweets, ignore high-calorie refined sugar. You can introduce natural sweeteners in the diet.

  • 125 gm chocolate
  • 30 gm cocoa powder
  • 125 gm banana
  • 30 ml rum (optional)
  • 5 gm coffee powder
  • 125 gm whipped cream


Melt the chocolate, peel and puree the banana to soften the pulp. Softly introduce rest of the ingredients into the mixture. Serve chilled in glasses.

(For this dessert, it is recommended to use unsweetened dark chocolate. Also, use low-calorie whipping cream to make the texture of the dessert lighter.)
