Apple Caramel

Christmas time is near and you all might have started planning Christmas recipes. Here is an extremely delectable recipe that will pamper your taste buds along with your guests. This apple caramel is too yummy to resist.

Serves: 2


  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 midsized apples (peeled and grated)
  • 1 tsp corn flour
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 Marie biscuits
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp Orange Marmalade
  • 100 gm shelled and sliced walnuts
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa powder (dissolved in a little water)
  • 50 gm sliced cherries


Mix milk with corn flour and make a smooth paste and bring it to a boil. Keep it aside. Add lemon juice to the peeled and grated apples. Stir on a low flame for ten minutes. Keep it aside. Take a deep dish and beat eggs and sugar, Marie biscuits and marmalade. Add walnuts and cherries. Keep it aside.

Mix egg-biscuit mixture, apples and walnut-cherry mixture together. Divide it into two portions. Take one portion and pour it into a Caramelized pan and steam it for ten minutes. In the remaining portion add cocoa mixture and pour it gently over the steamed pudding. Steam it for 20 minutes. Invert the dessert onto a serving dish. Garnish with cherries and walnut that has been kept aside. Serve chilled.
