Make your Valentine’s Day special with this awesome, mouthwatering special chocolate cake. This flourless, semi-liquid cake has the flavor of almonds and tastes best when served with ice-cream. White chocolate garnish on top adds extra taste and gives an appealing look to the cake.

  • 115 g white chocolate, melted
  • 250 g plain chocolate, melted
  • ¾ cup butter
  • ½ cup castor sugar
  • 2 cups almond, ground
  • 3 egg yolks and whites separated
  • Butter paper


Preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius. Place butter paper in the cake tin. Grease it with butter.

Mix sugar with ½ cup butter. Beat well till frothy. Mix 2-3 tbsp of plain chocolate, almonds and egg yolk and blend well. Take egg whites in a separate bowl and beat well.

Mix the chocolate mixture to egg whites and pour in the cake tin and bake in the oven for about 10-15 min. Prick the cake with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the cake is done or increase the time.

Melt plain chocolate and remaining butter in a sauce pan on low heat. Spread it on the baked cake. Keep aside for 1 ½ hour.

Put the white chocolate in a piping bag. Garnish cake’s surface.
