Halloween Monster cake

This recipe is specially made during Halloween party. It’s a real fun when the cakes are of different scary shapes and decoration that makes us screaming. Halloween cakes are frightful but despite the cake’s appearance, it’s really delicious. To make your party memorable among your friends, try the Halloween monster cake recipe at home which will just involve your creativity and fun.

  • 1 packet of chocolate cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 package of white sandwich cookies
  • 1 packet of instant vanilla pudding
  • 100 g white butter
  • 2 marsh mellows
  • 2 lolly sticks
  • White chocolate crumbs
  • Dark chocolate crumbs
  • Green food coloring
  • ½ cup cings sugar
  • Edible decorating items
  • 1 big sized pan

Preparation time: 40 minutes.


We can prepare the simple cake at home to use it in making the Halloween cake. Alternatively, if there is time shortage then one can use the cake mixes available in the market.

Take a large bowl. Pour the ready made cake mix, butter and the eggs together. Whisk the ingredients finely .Now preheat the oven at 300 °C for 5 min. Grease the baking tray with butter and pour the entire cake mix . According to package directions bake the cake. When cake is baked bring it to room temperature. One can use the ready made cake base to save time.

Prepare pudding mix in the meanwhile and keep it into the refrigerator for some time. The pudding will get settled.
Take another bowl. Put the butter and the white icing. Whip it well till a smoothie texture comes. Add a few drops green food coloring and mix until a complete colored will appear. Now grind both the white and the dark chocolates separately. We have to be more careful while making the Halloween cake that the final decoration might not get messed. So it’s advisable to give the decoration just few hours before the party.

Spread the white pudding layer first over the cake base already baked in the oven .Put the marsh mellows to make the monster’s eyes and lollys to make the big protruding teeth. Make patches with green colored butter over the white pudding layer that will make the cake looks horrible. Spread the white and the dark chocolate dust and give the final dirty look to the cake. Now the monster Halloween cake is ready to scare the party.

    Hi, I tried this chocolate cake recipe few hours ago but somehow couldn’t get the same result as you, my cake definitely wasn’t looking that good (but tasted fine). What sort of chocolate are you using? Maybe it’s because of the flour I used, I have a gluten intolerance so I used amaranth flour instead of usual wheat flour.
