Apple Fruit Cake Recipe

The fall season when fruit is in abundance, there are all sorts of fruits you can add to make your cake recipes exciting and full of nutrition. All kinds of delicious fruits such as apples, pears, peaches and apricots add to the taste of variable fruit cake recipes. You can add just about any fruit of your choice to add a distinct flavour to your fruit cake. This apple fruit cake is an example of a sumptuous fruit cake recipe.


  • 6 Apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla
  • 7 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups Flour


Preheat oven and grease the pan and set aside for use later.

Mix sugar, baking powder and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Toss the apples with this mixture, until well coated. Add vanilla and let stand for a while. Beat the eggs, blending in the oil a little at a time.

Gradually add sugar and whisk the mixture with a spatula. This can also be done with a mixer or a hand blender. Stir in flour until all the mixture is well blended and a smooth texture is formed.

Fold in the apple mixture into the cake mixture. Now pour this mixture into a greased pan or angel cake pan and bake until an inserted fork comes out clean from it. Once baked, let the cake cool for at least 30 minutes and then remove from the pan. Let it stand for another 15 minutes on the rack before you cut pieces of it and serve to friends and family.
